Pastor Jon counts it a tremendous blessing to be able to serve here in Lima, Ohio at Lima First.
Born and raised in Lima (and as an Elida High School graduate) he has a passion to see the Lima area transformed for Christ. He is privileged to share in that through serving in Kids First Children's Ministry.
He aspires to teach the timeless truths of God's unchanging Word to all ages, specifically our children--the next generation of His church.
Jon's desire is to proclaim Jesus through word and deed,in order that believers of all ages (especially the youngest among us) might grow to maturity in Christ (Colossians 1:28-29).
Pastor Jon's family consists of his wife(and ministry partner) of almost 15 years, Stacie, and their two sons Josh, 13, and Caleb, 11. Josh and Caleb are Bath Wildcats and Jon and Stacie are excited to be part of the Bath community.
He is an avid baseball fan and has coached in various capacities of youth baseball since 2004.
He believes the church should be a place where our children should both learn about God and experience His presence. He views the church as a place where they can begin to learn how to surrender to the Lordship of Jesus Christ and be trained to engage the world around them for Him (1 Peter 3:15).
Most importantly, he wants everyone to know that the only life worth living is one grounded and centered upon a relationship with Jesus...because His plans for us are greater than we could ever imagine (Jeremiah 29:11)!
